| BIA MEMBER CALL TO ACTION: Center City Overlay Bill Needs Your Support
Bill No. 140519 (Center City Overlay Bill) faces its final vote by City Council Thursday October 15 from 10:30 to 12:30, City Hall.
We need YOU there to show your support. BIA members need to call City Council Members, send letters of support, testify and attend.
The BIA has worked on this bill for 18 months. We have negotiated in good faith with numerous community groups and City Council representatives and secured written support from all of these same groups. The BIA still needs YOU to help us get it across the finish line.
We can no longer allow the wants of the few to dictate the needs of the many. Center City is the economic engine of Philadelphia and it needs to operate as such.
Please write or call every council person you have a relationship with (especially Council President Clarke, Councilman Squilla and Councilman Johnson) and urge them to PASS THIS BILL! And next Thursday October 15 plan to be at City Hall to show your support. Without all of our voices, we will not be heard! |
